Rikard runs his own companies as a financial manager and accountant. He is also the other part owner of 57˙ Nord.

Already at the age of 4, Rikard sailed his very own little sailboat. The love of the sea and boats has remained, even if the objects have changed over the years. There have been 11 boats of his own since the first, ranging from catamarans to motorboats.

- For me, being out at sea is heaven on earth. I want to show my customers what fantastic nature experiences there are out here in the Gothenburg archipelago and in Bohuslän," says Rikard.

It is the meetings with the guests, the conversations and the joy of being out at sea together that drives Rikard to want to develop 57˙ Nord into the ultimate boat trip in the Gothenburg archipelago. He gets the receipt when a satisfied customer comes back.

His home archipelago is in northern Bohuslän on Raftö between Havstenssund and Resö, where he has his summer home. His private boating vacations are also based here, and his favorite place above all others is Väderöarna.

For excursions with Pandora, Vrångö and Vinga are Richard's personal gems. Vinga because of its historical significance and Vrångå because it has a good harbor.

- Vinga is so much more than just an island. And Vrångö is peaceful and quiet with a small, cozy harbor," Rikard continues.

Ideally, he goes there in May, when the sun starts to warm his face and he can have the shiny mirror of the sea all to himself.

- You've weathered another winter and everything is ahead of you. You can swim even if it's cold," says Rikard, who always has his swimwear with him.
